Meloan Cream works by decreasing the production and increasing the breakdown of melanosomes (melanosome pigment granules) in the skin’s pigment cells (melanocytes). This occurs when the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme required to make melanin, is suppressed. In most cases, skin lightening should be observed after 4 weeks of therapy. It may sometimes take longer to see any changes, but if after 3 months of treatment no whitening effect is observed, you should stop using the foaming cream.
